Feminine and flirty, yet simple and sexy, the pleated skirt is a staple in your closet and number 67 of MY ONE HUNDRED. Considered a schoolyard staple in the past, I love bringing out my pleated skirt for warmer spring and summer days with either a pair of wedges and a t-shirt or with some heels, a flowy blouse and blazer. Not only is a pleated skirt great for all body types, but it’s a perfect transition piece from DAY to WORK and even to PLAY (as styled today). When I thought of styling this pleated skirt, I remembered one of my favorite “pleated skirt looks” from one of my favorite fashion bloggers, Blair Eadie of Atlantic-Pacific. So in true BEE style, I channeled a bit of her “rock” and tried my best to pull off a pleated skirt look as cool as hers. I hope I did her justice! Happy Friday and have a wonderful weekend!
