Designer Spotlight-Alex and Ani

Hello Hong Kong!  As stated in my last post, I have left Florida and am now back in the great city of Hong Kong!  Sticking with my love of the color emerald this winter season, today I’m styling a laid-back DAY style while walking through the busy streets of Wan Chai.  A special accessory I added to today’s style are my ALEX and ANI initial bangles.  To be honest, I purchased these three bangles in my initials about a year ago online and haven’t worn them until recently.  Maybe due to packing, leaving Kuala Lumpur and moving to Hong Kong, the holidays or who knows, but I pulled them out of my jewelry box and was so excited to slip them back on.  Ironically almost the same day I pulled them out, I later met my aunt for dinner and spotted her wearing a bunch of Alex and Ani bangles herself!  We began talking about the bracelets, the meaning behind her charms and the company itself.  After reading more about the company, I found myself falling in love with my bangles even more and therefore, decided to feature Alex and Ani in this week’s Designer Spotlight.

Alex and Ani was launched in 2004 by creator and designer, Carolyn Rafaelian.  Naming her company after her first two daughters, Alex and Ani is a company dedicated to “creating products of unparalleled quality and beauty that promote consciousness and unity.”  All made in the U.S.A. from re-used and recycled materials, Alex and Ani is an Eco-Friendly company that prides itself on creating jewelry that “uplift and inspire all who wear them.”  They literally create positive energy…one of their key principles behind their brand.  One of the coolest things that I personally love about their bangles is the traditional clasps with a sliding mechanism that make each piece adjustable!  To see more behind the scenes, click here, or just visit one of their many locations (unfortunately all in the U.S.).  Of course, Alex and Ani is also available online…which I’m excited about since I live overseas.  Have a great Wednesday, as I continue to build more of my Alex and Ani jewelry collection.
