When I originally heard the words 3.1 Phillip Lim, I thought someone was discussing a new electronics toy and dismissed the name without any interest. I guess it was the “3.1” that threw me off. But today after years of following and coveting the 3.1 Phillip Lim clothing line, when I hear the words 3.1, my mind switches to anything but electronics and my interest is peaked! Born in Thailand, Phillip Lim left Asia with his family at an early age to escape Cambodia’s Civil War. It wasn’t always a dream of his to join the fashion and design world, but after working a weekend job at Barney’s in Beverly Hills, his career mindset began to change. Soon he was designing and working as an intern under Katayone Adeli before launching his own line in 2005. The 3.1 Phillip Lim brand is now available in over 50 countries and 400 boutiques and departments stores around the world. I just love my new 3.1 Phillip Lim high-waisted skirt. The touches of burgundy in the plaid skirt made me grab for my burgundy short-sleeved turtleneck on my way to work. I’m loving how the color burgundy is a fashion favorite this fall season.
