As many other women out there, one of my favorite movies is “The Notebook”…what a romantic, wonderful love story. And one of my favorite scenes in “The Notebook” is the scene when Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams are playing at the beach together – running on the sand, holding each other in the surf and laughing about being a bird. Rachel McAdams says to Ryan, “You think in another life, I could’ve been a bird?” Ryan answers, “What do you mean?” Rachel smiles and replies, “Like reincarnation.” Ryan then says, “I don’t know.” The exchange continues with Rachel trying to get Ryan to say that she’s a bird, while she smiles and flaps her arms like wings. Ryan finally surrenders to her cute ways, grabs her and says, “If you’re a bird, I’m a bird.” Ah, so cute! So while on the beach this past weekend I remembered this scene, while I laughed running up and down the sand and into the the surf, jumping and pretending to fly, just like a bird, ha!
