The stylish baguette

In the French mindset just returning from Paris and reliving our day in Versailles yesterday, I thought I would post about baguettes today.  All over Paris you see people walking around the city eating and enjoying bread and others walking around with a long baguette tucked under their arm, opposite from the other arm carrying their beautiful, designer bag.  I thought this stereotype of carrying baguettes around the city was left for the French romantic comedies, but this really does happen!  But instead of posting about the type of baguette you can eat…let’s talk about the type of baguette you can style!

The baguette bag was named after the famous French staple, not because its long and slender shape like the delicious bread, but because it can be tucked under your arm just the same.  This week Fendi celebrated 15 years of their baguette bag by displaying their most colorful and decorative versions through a store window in Paris.  So in honor of this celebration, I thought I would show you some of my favorite Fendi baguette bags.  Which one is your favorite?

Happy Tuesday!
