Back to reality

So this past weekend I returned back to KL after a three-week trip away with my family.  We met in Australia and toured all around the country before heading to Singapore, Thailand, Cambodia and ending in KL.  Before I left, I made sure to write and prepare for 15 days of posts without any interruption, so my wonderful followers out there (hopefully there are a few of you, ha!), would not even notice I was away.  Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the past weeks’ posts and I look forward to getting back to posting LIVE again.  So back to our trip…the three weeks was crazy – definitely our own “amazing race”, but totally worth all the exhaustion in the end!  In 15 days, we took 11 flights, not to mention the additional flights my family took to reach me!  But they had never been to Asia, as I had never been before moving here to KL, so they were anxious to visit.  What an amazing and exciting adventure we had together!  I can’t wait to share our pictures and look forward to telling of our adventures on my upcoming “Travel Thursdays” posts.

I just want to thank my mom, dad and sister for making the long trek out here and making the past three weeks so special.  I don’t know what I would do without you in my life!  But as all good things, the trip had to come to an end.  So today, unfortunately, I found myself back to work and back to reality.  After shortly getting into the office, I felt completely run-down, exhausted and dizzy, but powered through the rest of the day.  I guess my body was finally settling down after the whirlwind trip and telling me it was tired.  But after a long day, I am now home and in my pajamas…which has already made me feel better.  Hopefully after some medicine and a nice, hot bowl of soup, I will be feeling much better tomorrow.  Sadly, the grocery store here did not carry my favorite tomato Soup or even chicken noodle from back home.  So I had to settle for an alternative tomato soup and hope that it will do the trick.  There’s nothing like a good bowl of tomato soup with Ritz crackers when you are feeling sick!  Someday when I am feeling better, I would like to make some homemade Tomato/Minestrone Soup using this recipe I found online.  For those of you that will experience a change of season soon, this soup sounds super yummy to enjoy when the cooler October weather starts rolling around.

Smells good! Nothing like a great bowl of soup, when you need to be cozy on the couch.

Welcome back, and I can’t wait to see pics from your trip! Funny…yesterday I was also feeling ‘under the weather,’ so I had tomato soup and crackers for dinner last night, too! 😉
