The Long and Winding Road

On our trip out to Cameron Highlands, which I detailed in this post, my husband and I experienced the windiest road of travel in our lives.  We were seriously carsick after arriving to the hotel, so much so that we both had to lie down shortly after arriving.  It’s almost comical, however, because everyone knows about it and just accepts that YOU WILL be carsick when you arrive to the hotel.  So much is it expected that while we were being checking in at the front desk, a masseuse led us over to a nearby couch and gave us both neck and shoulder rubs, while they were getting our reservations set up.  They explained that they understand the stress of the drive and try to make their guests comfortable.  Wow, what a great way to start off a weekend getaway!  During the winding trip, I was so glad that I had worn my comfy new jeggings and floral shirt.  It was such a long drive and nice to feel comfortable.  So after feeling refreshed from our massages and a little relaxation, we headed up to the roof of the hotel and took in the nice, cool weather in the highlands.
