Spotted-Red, White and Blue

Keeping with the theme of the 4th of July holiday, I wore this outfit to work this week...it was very festive, although, I don't think anyone in Malaysia understand its significance.  Oh well!  When I want to dress professionally and feel classy, I always reach for one of my white collared shirts, this one is from Victoria's Secret.  Yes, they do have cute clothes too!  It's short-sleeved and extremely comfortable for the warm climate here in this tropical weather.  Plus, I always grab a blazer or sweater for the cool air-conditioned offices.  Here, I grabbed this navy blue sweater with pockets (women love our pockets!) from Urban Outfitters and added a red belt to my navy pinstriped dress pants.  My favorite part of this outfit, however, is the brooch.  The accessories can sometimes pull the whole outfit together and show off your individual style or as The Sartorialist would say, "well chosen accessories can be the raison d'être for a whole look."
