French Patisserie

For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to visit Paris…what girl doesn’t?  It may be the romantic side of me, or maybe the fashion driven…I’m not sure which one is stronger, but the thought of seeing the Eiffel Tower in person, walking down the River Seine, getting lost in the Louvre and shopping in the famous ateliers, just brings a smile to my face.  I still have yet to visit France, but hopefully someday.  And when I do visit, not only will I hopefully experience all of these feelings of love, beauty and excitement, but I will get to taste a warm, fresh baguette and sample little pastries at a real French Patisserie!  I picture myself walking through the door of Au Levain d’Antan and taking a deep breath as I drink in the aroma of the bakery’s fresh creations.  I spot the warmest, freshest baguette, tuck it under my arm and smile with excitement as I pay the cashier and whisper something wonderfully in French.  I continue outside into the cool, morning air holding my warm baguette tightly in one hand and my wool beret in the other, listening to my high heels clicking along the cobblestones as I make my way towards the Eiffel Tower.  Oh yes, this will happen!  It sounds a little too much like the opening to “Beauty and the Beast” or maybe an episode of “The Mary Tyler Moore” show but hey, a girl can dream!  So until this dream does come true, I will be patient and content to visit our local French Patisserie right here in Malaysia.  It may not be Paris, but for now, it will have to do.

Oh, I brought along my new purse for our morning excursion…but more on that tomorrow…

Paris is one of my favorite cities. Besides high fashion, they have endless accessory stores…hats, scarves, belts, etc. No one has to look alike!
