Peek-a-BLUE

This past weekend we visited Penang Island, an island four hours north of Kuala Lumpur (more on Penang in a later Travel Thursdays post).  The weather wasn’t as nice as we would have liked, but we made the most of the two days by visiting all of the sites that Penang Island has to offer.  On the first day, we walked along the water on our way to the first stop – a blue-colored, historical mansion.  I really loved the backdrop in these pictures with my bright-colored, green skirt and plaid, checked top.  I also really love how fashion and style can be so colorful when combining unusual pieces together…just like taking my plaid, checked top and adding it to my a-line, flared mini and animal print flats to make a fun DAY style outfit during our afternoon in Penang.
