Happy Monday and Happy Memorial Day!  I hope you are having a great long weekend and enjoying some sunshine and fun summer weather wherever you may be.  We spent our Memorial Day weekend traveling to a little island here in Malaysia…our last trip while living in SE Asia.  More details to follow in this week’s Travel Thursday post.  For today, see a WORK style I wore last week…today no work – YAY!  I’m just loving floral prints with stripes lately, as last seen here.  Have a great day!

Spotted-Floppy Felt Hat

A year ago NEXT WEEK, Wrinkled Chiffon was born and one of my first posts featured a floppy felt hat in a DAY style!  Today, I’m pulling my favorite floppy hat back out and featuring it in today’s DAY style as number 34 of MY ONE HUNDRED.  I love big hats in the summer, the spring, the fall, the winter…no matter the season, they are fashionable and fun to wear.  Especially when you don’t feel like doing your hair, or you want to shield your face from the strong Malaysian sun, or if you just feel like going incognito for the day or the weekend…  Happy Friday!

Travel-Burma/Myanmar, Nyaung Oo Market

While on our trip to Myanmar, we traveled to the Ancient City of Bagan (detailed more here).  One morning we took to the streets and visited the local market in the village of Nyaung Oo.  While strolling through this amazing market, these are some of the sights we saw.

market2One of the local women of the village applying the Thanaka sunscreen to my face.  This cream is a traditional local cosmetic used in Myanmar to protect your skin from the sun, along with acting as an astringent and an antiseptic.  Everyone was wearing it on their faces throughout our travels through Myanmar.
