Designer Spotlight-Dolce&Gabbana

Dolce & Gabbana, ah, it’s just fun to say…it rolls off the tongue like a soft, decadent piece of chocolate.  And just like chocolate, I love this dress!  When I first saw it in a magazine, I searched high and low to find it and was lucky it was still available!  Not only did I fall in love with the classic color and subtle red polka dots, but I love the classic square-neck cut and fitted pencil skirt.  It is just the perfect dress…and I wasn’t surprised to find it was designed by Dolce&Gabbana.  These two Italian designers, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, presented their first women’s collection in 1985 and today the company has grown to a multi-million dollar fashion powerhouse.  Dolce & Gabbana, the company, has two distinct brands – Dolce&Gabbana (without spaces) and D&G.  Whereas Dolce&Gabbana specializes in more luxury items, D&G is a more casual line.  No matter what the brand, Dolce & Gabbana clothing just seems to make a woman feel sexy and that is exactly how I felt today in this PLAY style post.
