A FISHY Pedicure

Visiting Bangkok, my husband and I finally decided to try out a FISH pedicure.  We had seen them all around different parts of Asia, but still had yet to try it for ourselves.  So after paying about 500 Baht (about 16 US dollars) for the both of us, my husband and I slowly dropped our legs into the pool of cold water beneath us.  The fish swarmed to our legs like bait lingering on a hook and began nibbling on each little nook and cranny of our feet, toes and legs.  It was the strangest feeling – ticklish, uncomfortable, scary, but at the same time, kinda fun!  Have you ever tried a fish pedicure?

girl-at-fishy-pediThis cute, little girl kept laughing at me during my fish pedicure experience, because I couldn’t stop giggling from the strange ticklish feeling of it all.  As you can see from the pictures above, these are not my feet…I had a laughing attack after about two minutes and decided I preferred to eat fish rather than let them eat me!

Another fish pedicure “salon” in Kuala Lumpur.

Since doing some research on these “fish pedicures”, I discovered there was a salon right down the road from where we lived in Alexandria, Virginia that had FISH PEDICURES as well!  I guess you don’t have to go to Asia to find these!

If you have a crazy pedicure story you would like to share, leave me a comment!

I know the salon in Alexandria you’re talking about. I just can’t do it, though!
