Today the United States of America is 235 years old!!! Whoa, that’s old!!! But when you think about it in the grand-scheme of things, it still seems pretty young…especially when Rome was believed to have been founded in 753 BC, that’s 2,764 years ago! Although it’s still in its teen years as a country, America has accomplished so much and I am very proud to say that America is where I am from. So today, being approximately 10,000 miles from home in Malaysia, I’m really missing the States and this special American holiday. Have a great Fourth of July America and I will be home soon!

I can not remember a fourth of july or a halloween for that matter where it did not rain. And yes today has been one of the heavyest rain days we have had this summer.
On this 4th, 62 hot dogs eaten in 10 minutes wins the 2011 Nathan’s famous international hot dog eating contest.
